Queens Arms, Hinksay Road
The earliest I can find The Queen's Arms is in the 1841census when Thomas Bray was landlord, he was there in 1841 and still there in 1871, he was bankrupt on the 13 June 1864 but still manage to run the pub, In the 1881 census he was a Farmer of 31 Acres Employing One Man at Hinksay Road, Thomas Bray Burial Date: 12 Feb 1885.
John Clayton was the landlord in the 1881 census, in September 1888 he was the secretary at the Licensed Victualler's Meeting at Newport, in 1889 the Queen's Arms was up for sale, at the sale the bidding started at £300 but the property was withdrawn at £425, in 1892 it was put up for sale again, by 1891 John Clayton is the landlord of the Dun Cow.
In Kelly’s directory 1891 page 306, Thomas Kellick Bathurst is listed as the landlord.
In Kelly’s directory 1895 page 76, Thomas Teague is listed as the landlord.
By 1900 Francis William Ketley in running the pub.
